July is Music Booster benefit month at Market Day. Please support the music department by ordering today. Click here for more information and for a look at this month's offerings.
The latest Music Boosters' newsletter is now available online. If you're not on the mailing list, or you can't wait to get your copy by mail, you can download it or read it directly from our website. It's a great way to keep up with the numerous concerts, rehearsals and other news in our terrific music program.
This summer's marching band packet is now available for downloading. It includes:
Camp runs from Monday, August 10th to Tuesday, August 25th.
The Marching Band will be taking a trip to Six Flags - Great America on Friday, August 14th. This is a change from previous years! We are taking a break from the FUNdamentals and having a FUNday! Sorry, we will not be performing. The cost of the trip will be $41.50. This cost includes transportation to and from Six Flags and your reduced-rate ticket. If you have a season pass, the cost will be $10.00 for the bus. You will need to bring extra money for food during the day.
IMPORTANT! - In order to receive a group rate, we need to have your forms and money absolutely, positively no later than Monday, August 3rd. Forms will be available soon. Mobile alerts on your cellphone are a new way to stay informed about upcoming events in the Glenbard East music department, like concert dates, cancelled rehearsals, booster meetings, fundraisers and the recent retirement celebration for Mrs. May and Mr. Heise. A quick test will tell whether or not your phone carrier is set up to receive these messages. You may subscribe to multiple lists (e.g. band, choir and general), and you can unsubscribe at any time. Reminders will always be concise and shorter than a Tweet. Try it out this summer. Our next event will be the Market Day fundraiser in July.
The next meeting of the Glenbard East Music Boosters will be on Tuesday, June 2nd at 7:00 PM in the Choir Room. Please join us.

The primary objectives of the the Glenbard East Music Boosters are to generate and maintain an enthusiastic interest in the various music classes and performing ensembles at Glenbard East High School, lend moral and financial support to the music programs, cooperate with the music department personnel in building and maintaining an organization of people and parents for the purpose of promoting the programs and general activities, and to raise and disburse funds for any or all of the approved projects or objectives of the organization.
